Dhonakulhi Island, with a beach length of some 3,200 meters around the Island, is a haven of peace, tranquility and serenity. The crystal clear turquoise waters of the shallow waist-deep lagoon surrounding the island stretch as far as the eye can see. The Island's uniquely rich and dense vegetation instill a feeling of harmony and being at one with nature - despite the extensive facilities and services, barely 5% of the Island and the lagoon has been utilised, thereby 95% in its original state, untouched by the hand of man!
Open since August 2005, The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi sits on its own 1.4 kilometre long, crescent-shaped island, complete with lush green vegetation, long white beaches and an adjacent house reef. Guests can choose to arrive at The Island Hideaway either by a 45-minute scenic photo-flight from the international airport at Male', the capital of the Maldives, or guests may also fly-in on seaplanes or private jets, or cruise their yachts to the Island's fully-equipped world class marina.
