This is the largest resort in the country with the most facilities, the biggest pool and the largest buffets. Here too is that mix of modernity and rich old world decoration. It shares the same generous and genuine feel for service. The level of service, the number of facilities, the overall build quality and the expense of the furnishings take this resort into the five star category. However you don't get a five star bill for staying here. This resort is excellent value for money. Sun Island received the first Presidential Green Award, indicating that great efforts have been made behind the scenes to ensure the resort is ecologically friendly. The island's rich soil supports many majestic coconut palms. Birdsong is heard at dawn and dusk, which is not common. The beaches are superb all the way around, without groynes.
